If you don't know why long-term care is important, read on...


If 70 percent of adults over the age of 65 will eventually need long-term care, why wouldn't you prepare and plan? Long-term care can be costly, and the Medicaid process to cover yourself or a loved one can be extensive.


If you think about this, 50 percent of adults over the age of 65 rely on Social Security for 50 percent of their household income, 25% for at least 90% of their household income. How much is Social Security and how much does it cost to afford Long-term care? Can you afford to pay for long-term care if needed when this is the income you rely on? Or will the burden be on your family to provide?


You can plan to be sure that you are covered when needed. If you don't know about long-term care, and the insurance that covers it let's talk about it.
